Found this in a local store and since my 2 year old daughter was with me, there was no leaving the store without the backpack! I didn't mind at all. It's adorable!
We now use it as sort of a diaper bag which holds some toys, things to do, a few snacks, and even a spare set of underwear. The two side pockets fit sippy cups perfectly. It can get a little heavy for your young toddler since you sure can fit a lot into it!
The velcro holding the "lid" closed is strong for the most part, but since my daughter's favorite item in the world is a rather large stuffed penguin, it overflows when added to all the other stuff already in the bag and the velcro won't stay closed. I am strongly considering putting a snap button there myself.
The only other thing I wish this bag had would be a chest strap and buckle. Not only would that help with weight distribution, which I understand we shouldn't make our kids carry heavy loads, but any load is heavy for a toddler. It would also be great if I could use this bag to keep a hold on my daughter. I have another backpack/leash for her, but this one is bigger, comfier, and she loves it so much more. I'm also thinking of just adding a chest strap and buckle myself.
We've had this bag for quite a few months now and it has held up very well. She loves the super durable map. And so cute that when the map is folded, you see "Map"'s face and everything.
I think the eyes are reflective too, but I haven't tested that out to be sure.
