Shortly after the 30-day return period the CD player just quit working. It was never handled roughly. In fact, it was never even handled by a child. My mom bought it for my use in my daughter's nursery. Now I let her play with the microphone part (which is still working), but I am sure I could find a much cheaper toy microphone.
