My children (ages 21, 18, 15, and 12), and I had fun playing with this toy. Although, it was very difficult to use and results were very inconsistant. We would follow the instructions provide each time, and maybe one in four tries it would provide a satisfactory product - sand brick or castle. In first observing the toy two pieces of the castle mold broke. The first day at the beach the shovel broke and by the end of the week at the beach the castle mold cracked. All in all, It is too complex and frustrating for younger children to use.
