Customer Review: Just like more famous brands/models for a better price

It didn't take a ton of research to figure out that these drum sticks come from the same Chinese factory as other more popular more expensive versions with slightly different colors.
They work as advertised. The sound effects are what one ought to expect from a toy: tinny and cheap, yet they get the point across. As others have mentioned, no volume control. We all found the volume to be moderate: can be heard easily and loud enough to annoy people after a long drumming session, yet not blasting loud: basic toy volume.
This was a gift for my 11 year old niece, who at first was unsure what to make of them. Later in the day, she was happily tapping away: in the air (sometimes works), on people, on other surfaces. I've not followed up to find out if the sticks have been of lasting interest.
There is only one built-in rhythm track to drum along to, which gets old pretty fast. Besides the normal drum hit sound, each stick has two buttons, each of which can be pressed and held while drumming to alter the sound from that stick: one is a cymbal crash, and the other i don't recall. They do add nice variety, though i found them a bit tough to activate while in the process of drumming.
Typical toy build quality: we're reasonably gentle people, so they're lasting for us. Really hard hitting over time would probably break them.
No regrets on this purchase.
