Toys and Games Reviews of Super ScrabbleCustomer Review: Great new variation, but we need a "deluxe" version Summary: 5 Stars
Super Scrabble is such a great idea that it's surprising no one thought of it until now. Twice as many spaces, twice as many letters, bigger words (more educational and more fun), and higher scores.
The one big drawback here is that this game doesn't come as a deluxe version with grid lines and a spinning lazy-susan base. You nudge the board and it's likely the letters will move. The deluxe version (of the original game) is far more user friendly - if you nudge the board the letters don't get all scrambled and those with bad eyesight can easily spin the board in their direction so they can see better.
Still, I highly recommend this game. And to the game makers: Please make a deluxe version!
Customer Review: Great Concept for those who enjoy Scrabble, but the board is flimsy. Summary: 3 Stars
Super Scrabble is a fun concept, and looks well in design.
Take all the times from Scrabble, and double them, and double the amount of spaces around the edges.
That's the good part.
The board however, is a split-to-open design, and seems to (at least with mine) to have arrived slightly warped, which means that the letters along the fold tend to center.
Frankly, it doesn't work very well, especially if you're used to playing on a deluxe edition board, or the Barnes and Nobles edition (and so forth).
If you enjoy Scrabble, it might be worth it to you, but if you don't have a deluxe edition already, just get that instead.
Customer Review: Super Scrabble is SUPER Summary: 5 Stars
I've been eyeing this game for a couple years now and finally bought it as a Christmas present for my wife (and me!).
She and I love it.
The bigger board and more pieces make the game livelier. I was worried that it might get bogged down with all of those tiles but it's not the case at all. In some strange way, the game seems to go faster. I think part of this comes from the fact that there are so many more possibilities on each turn. You're not looking at 10 possible places to put your word. You're looking at 20 or 30!
And I've never seen so many 7 letter words!

Customer Review: Not for the faint of heart Summary: 3 Stars
The good thing about the original game of scrabble, it lasts just long enough so that once everyone starts really getting sick of it, you realize the grab bag is almost empty. This game is a lot like a marathon. When you feel like it should be over, you realize you're not even halfway done. Everyone doesn't want to build around the triple word scores because of normal Scrabble phobias, which means you have a very center-concentrated game in what needs to be a very spread out game. Don't expect to want to see the people you start this endeavor with for a couple of days afterwords, as tensions will be high by the time it is over...
Customer Review: fun for hours! Summary: 4 Stars
We had a lot of fun playing the newest addition to the Scrabble family! Here are a few facts:
It does take a lot longer to play this game! Know this going into it! Also, we are used to playing on the Deluxe model, so going back to the basic board is no fun! Having the tiles slide all over the place stinks! But it was GREAT having so many more E's to use, that alone is reason to try!! The amount of 7 letter words we were able to play was unbelievable! The first game we played I ended up with a score of 784!!! WOW! It is a great game and is a lot of fun, just as the other was! Highly recommend!
