We love the size of this board - it makes it a lot easier to play with kids who are fond of three and four letter words. However, to make it easier to play, some kind of ridge between the squares would have been helpful, since we ended up putting it on a lazy susan so everyone could see the board the right way during their turns. We might end up improvising something out of thin strips of contact paper so the tiles stay in place.Customer Review: Very educational and fun

This is a great upgrade to the original scrabble. It allows you to make bigger words and get higher scores. I love the fact that you can play one game for a longer amount of time than normal scrabble. I've been eyeing this game for a couple years now and finally bought it as a Christmas present for my wife (and me!).
She and I love it.
The bigger board and more pieces make the game livelier. I was worried that it might get bogged down with all of those tiles but it's not the case at all. In some strange way, the game seems to go faster. I think part of this comes from the fact that there are so many more possibilities on each turn. You're not looking at 10 possible places to put your word. You're looking at 20 or 30!
And I've never seen so many 7 letter words!

If you've played Scrabble, you've pretty much played Super Scrabble. Super Scrabble is pretty much a bloated version of regular Scrabble, with more letters, more spaces, and bigger bonuses (e.g., quadruple word score). If you're a casual player and only break out the Scrabble board every once in awhile, you'll probably want to stick with regular Scrabble. If you play often and also find that regular Scrabble just doesn't last long enough, then this might be for you. This game lasts a little over twice as long and, in my opinion, it's twice as fun.
In regular Scrabble, a 60 point word is a very very nice score. In Super Scrabble, it's not terribly uncommon. The scores are much higher and it just feels different than regular Scrabble. I play regular Scrabble on a routine basis, but when I break out the Super Scrabble, it's an event!
Super Scrabble isn't for everyone. If you can't sit down for an hour and a half or two hours playing Scrabble, stay away. If you rarely play Scrabble, this probably isn't the board for you. If you already have a regular Scrabble board and you want something bigger, then by all means this is it!
