Toys and Games Reviews of Rubik's Professor Cube 5x5Customer Review: Gently is the word Summary: 5 StarsAfter reading some of the reviews on this cube, I found myself wondering if it could be as bad as they say. So simply out of curiosity I ordered it. It arrived about a week later and the packaging was quite stunning. I had never seen it like that but anyway. After messing it up several times and solving it, it seems to be quite durable. Now I have had it for about a month or so and solved it 50+ times and it has only loosened up. I can only notice one sticker that is starting to peel. Be sure to realize that this is not for speed cubeing, but more for the reaction on a persons face when they walk through the door and say "You know how to solve that thing?!" Its quite a good feeling when you can say yes. (You solve it just like a 4x4 then 3x3 except with one additional step.) But like I said "Gently" is the word for this product.
Customer Review: great Summary: 5 StarsIt is a great toy, I say it is much more than a toy. And I am happy that I can get it so easy on Amazon.com.
Customer Review: Worth the money Summary: 4 StarsI was expecting no parity in this, and that is why I bought it, but there is edge pairing parity, but the algorithms for it are not as complex as those for parity in the 4x4 cube.
Customer Review: Good Brain Exercise Summary: 5 StarsA few review suggest that it explodes. I say 'You used too much force!'
The cube is a bit more delicate then the three other cube by Rubik, but it has held up pretty well, and I do use it quite a bit.
I am now solving this cube at least once a week (to avoid memory loss ^_^). It also build determination as it will take around 20 minutes.
Once you are able to solve the Professor, all the other cubes seems too simple.
Customer Review: Lotsa fun Summary: 5 StarsThis is probably my favorite Rubiks puzzle. It hasn't fallen apart on me yet, and after several weeks of wear and tear turns quite smoothly. Solving the center pieces is pretty easy, and matching the edge pieces is fun to do; never quite the same combinations. And then you get to finish by solving it like the 3x3x3.
