I bought a 5x5 Rubik's cube a few days ago and it is great. I love solving it even though it takes around 15 minutes. I personally enjoy it much more than the 4x4 cube because it has fewer parity cases and has defined centers. I definitely recommend the 5x5 if you want to show off to friends and are sick of your 3x3 Rubik's cube. YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SOLVE A 3x3 BEFORE YOU CAN SOLVE A 5x5!!!!! The cube is a bit more delicate then the three other cube by Rubik, but it has held up pretty well, and I do use it quite a bit.
I am now solving this cube at least once a week (to avoid memory loss ^_^). It also build determination as it will take around 20 minutes.
Once you are able to solve the Professor, all the other cubes seems too simple.

The 5x5 is much more difficult than the 3x3 but it has lost some of the fun edge. Turning the sides has become a burden and is slow. They need to be perfectly lined up and unlike the three sided cube, it must be realigned constantly. This cube is difficult and requires different moves than the 3x3 so if you are looking for a challenge than pick this up but if fun and a quick mental challenge is what you are looking for stick with the 3x3.Customer Review: WHY I ASK YOU< WHY!?!?!?!?!?

Who in the name of god would make such a tool of death!? I bought this for my father as a desk ornament for his new office, but it took more than its small amount of desk space....... it took his life!!!....... well for a few minutes a day at least. Very good product, lots of fun, I threw it at a wall out of frustration and a it only broke a little ( on the bright side with the help of some glue I solved the puzzle).Customer Review: Pretty good for a challange

Bought this for my 12 year old after he solved the regular rubiks cube. He likes this and has learned to solve it also and create a checkerboard pattern and some other patterns. This cube is more complex which is good for problem solving. The only concern is that it feels more delicate. The cube is very flexible and you have to be careful how you twist the pieces. My son does not have a problem with that though.
