I purchased the Rubiks 5x5 for my 11 year old grandson as one of his Christmas gifts. He was thrilled with it and is enjoying it's use. He is quite good at rotating and solving the puzzle, which for me seems very complicated.
I was also very pleased with the promptness of it's delivery from Amazon.com since it was a very difficult item to find elsewhere, and I knew that my grandson really wanted it.

If you are a Rubriks fanatik this is for you! It was nice to find the
5 x 5 since my son has mastered the 3 x3 and the 4 x 4. Like all of them they are a little stiff to turn at first but once he "oiled" them down, they flew quickly. Shipping was quick and this is a toy that will last forever and batteries not needed!! Stickers will evidently peel off after LOTS and LOTS of use. But they sell replacements.

This rubik's cube is a pretty good buy. It's different from a normal 5x5 rubik's cube in that it is smaller, just barely bigger than a 3x3. However, it is somewhat easier to work with than a normal rubik's cube. The pieces don't fall off as easily (although at times you have to "undo" a turn in order to get a piece to pop back in place). I would recommend it to someone who is interested in getting a 5x5.Customer Review: Shoddy Construction

Puzzle is interesting but shoddy construction makes it less useful than it should be. Instead of enamel paint, the cubes surfaces are covered with tape stickers that loose their adhesion rapidly. The interior plastic ribs holding the cube together broke within a month. I had only solved the puzzle twice at that point and the solution pattern (the interesting part) was still partially unclear.Customer Review: fragile

I bought this 5x5 for my fiance. He was a bit frustrated since he wanted 3x3. Well you will definately find 5x5 more difficult and I guess my fiance didn't like such a challenge. However it's a good challenge and he'll try to solve it after I get a 3x3 one first. :) He found 5x5 very fragile. You just have to get used to it. Otherwise, it's a nice thing to have and entertain your guests. :)
