The game, according to the rules in the box, is all about tossing pigs (instead of dice). This is probably a good game for a small party of people who wish to pass the time while laughing a bit.
You score points based on how your pigs land. Some positions actually hurt your chances of winning.
The only thing I can think of that would make this package better is a small dice cup. However, dice cups are easy to find. So I am not rating this product down from 4 stars. Normally I might give this product 5 stars, but I am trying to be at least somewhat objective--this game doesn't have a lot of educational value, aside from adding up your points. But it sure is fun!

I really like this game for a number of reasons. First, because it's fun for kids AND adults to play, second, because it is very small and portable, and third, because it does require some math, giving it some educational value. It is also a quiet game requiring only a flat surface on which to roll the pigs and enough light to see them. It's nice that there are also so very few parts to lose (2 pigs,pencil,& paper-all in a case). We keep a set in our car, and when we are waiting to be seated or served at a restaurant, it's a great way to pass the time. It also makes a nice little gift for friends going on a trip. I only wish that I had thought up such a simple, but clever game!

Our family has played Pass the Pigs off and on for 6 years. The game is simple to play and has a different outcome every time. Sometimes the pigs toss favorably and sometimes unfavorably. The game teaches the value of learning to 'quit while you are ahead' no matter how little one thinks they are ahead (one of the pig roll combos reduces all of one's point in that round to zero- a 'Pig Out'.). A good lesson to learn in a gambling city like Reno where it is easy to 'lose it all' if one gets enamoured with the 'easy riches' lure of the casinos. Great game to pull out for two families with kids after a dinner together. A game takes about 20 minutes with four participants.Customer Review: Most Fun Game Ever For Parties!

I've has this game for years, and every time I suggest playing Pass The Pigs to a new group of people (adults) they are inevitably skeptical. They'll say things like "pig dice, that sounds dumb, we might as well just go watch the moss grow", but after about 10 minutes everyone is interested, animated, and jumping up and down shouting things like "Come on little piggies, I want a double snouter" and "Papa wants you piglets to kiss now" and they want to keep playing for hours. The heck with educational - this game is fun, affordable, easy to learn, and fast moving- it's perfect as a gift or for parties. This was the best stocking stuffer in our house this year. This game basically consists of two small rubbery pigs, but they are cleverly shaped and weighted so that each pig can land in six different positions. With two pigs, you get many interesting combinations, each of which has a point value and a funny name. The pigs can even land in the "piggy back" configuration. This all sounds silly, and I guess it is, but the large quantity of laughter makes it very worthwhile. This game is adult-worthy, and the cool plastic pocket-sized carrying case (with special pig-shaped places for the "dice") was just the right size to fit in a stocking!
