My 10 year old son has had a great time sneaking up on people with this toy. You turn on the switch on the bottom, it makes a distinctive 2 note beep, then about 8 seconds later the three pieces explode off of it with a siren sound. My son has figured out that he should turn the switch on away from his victim so they don't hear the sound and then sneak it or roll it into the room. Then he can surprise them. It seems well made and does what it claims. (Some of the other spy gear is borderline at doing what it claims.)
