Toys and Games Reviews of Wild Planet Hyper DashCustomer Review: 1st good, then NOTHING Summary: 1 Stars
My kids got this for Christmas. This game was great for our entire family at first. Then after day two, the voice would go off sporadically. Now after a week of use, it does not work at all. We have tried new batteries...nothing. The company, Wild Planet, has a very-hard-to-get-through customer service. You can leave a comment on line or a voicemail. This is not acceptable compared to other companies, such as Hasbro, I have dealt with in the past when the toys stopped working correctly. I am still waiting to get a response. I have read another review that had a similar problem. I would buy this only with caution and I would do it at a local store that might have a better and longer return period than Amazon has.
Customer Review: Cool game for kids AND adults! Summary: 5 Stars
We played this game with my 8 year old nephew this past weekend, and I must say, I was quite impressed! Hyper Dash is actually several different games in one, with a nice mix of physical versus mental challenges. Using the bell-shaped main tagger and the small plastic targets, players are challenged to do things such as tag the identified colors as quickly as possible, remember and repeat a series of colors, and more. Each game has several different levels, making the game appropriate for school-aged children to adults--perfect for parents playing along with kids! Plus, the tagger and targets are small and lightweight, making this game portable and thus great for travel. Highly recommended for kids and families!
Customer Review: Loving the Hyper Dash Summary: 5 Stars
We've been looking for outdoor toys...tired of clutter and of course wanting to have the kids playing outside instead of TV/video games. This is fun, active, and flexible. The 9 year-olds played it with the math and memory (Simon-style) games and the three & four year-olds played it with the colors and numbers. You can separate the pieces and make the kids run around to get them.
My only two critiques are that the green disk looks more yellow than green and that they could have made the pieces fit together for storage. It is one of those things that you have to use a Zip-Lock or something or the pieces will get separated and then the game won't get used.
Enjoy!
Customer Review: 2 versions of Hyper Dash Summary: 3 Stars
I bought Hyper Dash for my two boys to play. It broke during the first game and could no longer identify which color disc you were placing it on top of. But it turns out the one I bought at Target does not use RFID to identify the discs. It uses a cheap height sensor spring and each disc is slightly different shaped. It was super annoying because you had to get the wand right on top of the disc so it could tell what color it was. I returned it to Target and was very disappointed. Then I came here to leave a review and noticed this one uses RFID (which DH thought they should have used.) This one costs a bit more than the one at Target $15 vs $20-30 but I'd gladly pay more to have it not break.
Customer Review: 2 Versions Both Died! Summary: 3 Stars
As many people on here...I Love this toy for my family!! However, after buying one at Target with non sensors, and having it break after 1 night of playing, I thought I hit on something with the new version that has the sensors. However, after playing with that version for 2 days, it broke!!! And now just completely quits mid game. I am really unpleased with the durability conisdering our kids aren't even as rough as I think kids can be, however we have had 2 different ones fail us, and are really bummed because we were so looking forward to it. We might try one more time because we did enjoy it that much, but definitely want to buy it somewhere with a great return policy!!!
