Toys and Games Reviews of Wild Planet Hyper DashCustomer Review: My boys' favorite gift this year! Summary: 5 Stars
I am SO glad I bought this toy. My boys ages 6 and 3 1/2 both love it. It is wonderful for cold or bad weather days when we are all inside and they start getting hyper. Now instead of getting frustrated, I just say "Why don't you go play Hyper Dash?" and they reply "Yea!". They play until they are both out of breath (and then they switch to "micro dash" level - a game option without the running). Although the recommended ages are 6 and up, my 3 1/2 year old does just fine with it. As long as the child knows their colors, they should be able to play. And I'm impressed with how many different options and levels there are to the game. I don't think the kids will get bored with it because it has so much variety. The only other game I have purchased that was this much fun was a dance pad game, and that was considerably more expensive. For $20, this toy is worth the money.
Customer Review: Great for the whole family Summary: 5 Stars
My wife and I bought this game for our son for Christmas as part of a bundle of toys. I was skeptical as to how much fun this could be at first, but after about 10 minutes of watching my wife, our kids, and a few of the neighbors' kids play, I had to have a turn. I think this is one of the most fun and easy to use toys I've ever seen. My four-year old daughter is learning math skills, my eight-year old son is learning to think under a little bit of fun pressure, and my wife and I are getting exercise. I even think I can use this game for shuttle drills for my football practices. I can see durability being a small issue, but if you don't allow your kids to SLAM the pieces, it should be fine. I haven't seen education mixed with athletic activity mixed like this before, and I think more toys should be this way. And for the value, you can't beat it.
Customer Review: FUN TOY and EDUCATIONAL TOO !! GREAT SUMMER TIME FUN Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this product as a end of school treat for my 11 yr son. He loves it and so do I. It really gets your heart pumping in that you have to be quick on your feet ....you can sit on the floor and place the targets in front of you or spread the targets out in the room to make it more challenging. You try to beat your time or your opponents time. It's great entertainment for one person or a group of players. My only concern about the product is it's durablity in that you have to really hit the targets hard to get a response from the dash stick....and you know how hard kids (especially boys)can be on toys. Its made of plastic so we will see how it holds up over time.Great for younger kids learning math skills as it shouts out addition/subtraction equations and you have to hit the target that matches the answer. Very cool toy.
Customer Review: Really cool game, fun for all ages, great exercise Summary: 5 Stars
This game is very cool. My kids love it and I enjoy playing against them as well. There are 4 different game modes that you can play with between 1 and 4 players.
Hyper Dash - you spread out the targets and it will tell you which color or number to hit and how many times to hit it. You compete for the best time.
Team Dash - This mode is like a relay race where you which with your partner from time to time. This mode is similar to Hyper Dash except for you have a teammate.
Micro Dash - This mode is like a game of memory sort of like the game of Simon.
Team Micro Dash - Same as Micro Dash except you work together as a team.
This game is very good exercise. It's nice to see the kid's having so much fun playing an active game like this.
Customer Review: fun toy even for a 3 year old Summary: 5 Stars
I got two of this for my neighbor's kid who was turning 6 and my kid who just turned 3 because it got such excellent reviews. My neighbor's kids love this.
As long as your kid knows basic colors (red, green, orange, yellow, and blue), he/she can play the easiest level. We had great fun playing with our 3-year-old. We started by just arranging the color dishes on a table, practiced a few rounds, then moved the dishes apart. We had great fun running around. Overall, this is a great toy.
A few things, though not deal killers. When I hold the handle and press down, it tends to pinch my finger tips. It pinches my kid's finger tips, too. The sound sometimes is not loud enough to hear, especially when people are excited and laughing. I don't think there is a way to adjust the volumn.
