My 3 and 4 year olds have so much fun taking turns hiding and searching for this. I had planned to give it to my son for Christmas, but pulled it out early when a playdate went south. Great toy! My 6 and 9 year old love it. As other reviews say it is much smaller than we expected. One problem is that the top and bottom half got jammed together where we could not open it. I finally figured out a work aorund to open it if it gets jamed or locked together. Put a very small computer size flat head screw driver in the lock area crack between the two half and push in. This toy is Fantastic. It reminds us of an old game called Hide the Thimble we play. My two boys had so much fun with this.
You could even play it at birthday parties. 5 Stars for this toy!

We bought this treasure box for our son's 5th birthday, but our 6 year old and even our 3 year old have loved playing with it. It is an easy game for any age to play. The box separates, the bottom part is hidden (and has a small 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x about 1/2" deep compartment to put a "treasure") and the top is used to find it. It is small, but I like that for the compact, all-in-one storage. I would be careful with the clear plastic lid that covers the "treasure" compartment...it doesn't attach all that firmly. We lost it once, but luckily found it. The "lock" button that holds the top and bottom parts together has also been occasionally hard to open...my reasoning for the lower "durability" rating. Overall, it's a great toy, the kids all love it, and I'm glad we bought it.

My son got this neat little toy for Christmas, he was almost 5 and it has provided so much fun. They don't play with it for super long periods, but all of the kids love it, it's pretty neat and I love how it clicks together into a little pirate chest for storage. I will for sure be giving this as a gift in the future!
