Customer Review: FUN FOR EVERYONE

We have two sets for our son (6), duplicate gifting for Christmas but glad we kept both sets.
THE PROBLEM: Christmas Eve, we didn't want kids to sneak down and start opening without waking us up first.
THE PLAN: We didn't wrap the tripwires, we opened them. We set them up in front of the tree, guarding the gifts.
Early next morning:
Kids see pile of presents.
Kids run shrieking toward tree.
Laser tripwires activated.
Kids freeze, panic for a split second.
Mom & Dad are laughing upstairs.
They loved it, we told them Santa likes to have fun, too!
WHICH WILL HAPPEN FIRST: BROKEN TOY vs. MY KID LOST INTEREST: We've all used them a lot since then and still working like new. Fun factor outlasted most other Christmas junk. My son demonstrated them to his class at school and they all love it too.
Of course Mom & Dad still like to use them on the kids once in a while. :) Be creative!
IS THE SOUND TOLERABLE? It's one of the LEAST ANNOYING sirens I've heard come out of a toy, but I still get tired of it sometimes, especially if he's been playing with them for an hour and he & the dog are setting them off every 2 minutes. Sometimes it's just background noise & I ignore it, other times we say it's time to turn them off.
Where I'm coming from, if you care:
I have a son (6) & daughter (4). They have a gamer dad, consumer research crazy mom, & over-indulging grandparents. I think we've gone through enough stuff up to their age/gender groups to figure out what's worth it and what's junk. On that note, never forget the power of the cardboard box!
