The tiles are set up in a play area for my twin girls. I was excited to find a mat that didn't have those alphabet and numbers that can be removed and become a chocking hazard. The description provided says the mats are 12" x 12" which I suppose they are if measured unattached to one another. Once they interlock, be sure to measure each one for only accounting for 11 1/2" x 11 1/2" of space. If you set up in the square formation I believe the borders make up for this in order to complete the 48 sq. ft claimed. Unfortunately, part of my setup is along a wall with several angles so I had to cut them to fit and could no longer attach the borders. I thought I was ordering enough but I used the 12"x 12" measurement given in the product description and now I am left short.
I will have to buy another pack (the smaller pack for 14.99) but the shipping is almost as expensive as the product itself! I am very unhappy about this. Otherwise this would have been a glowing review.
