Customer Review: Great colors, a bit thin and expensive shipping.

I had these on my baby shower wishlist. At the time I hadn't done much research but like that these were plain (didn't want the alphabet-number type) but with colors. I didn't open them until six months later when the baby started needing some floor safety and drool catching. The pads are easy to setup and have a little bit of texture for grippiness. We bought two packs of six but are only using six on our family room floor. As he becomes more active, I'll probably break out the other six to make a bigger play space.
As we used them for two months now, I find that I wish they were a bit thicker. Because of their thinness I find the come apart more easily whether it be from being pushed into furniture edges or being pulled on by the baby. I'm sure if they were thicker, this would happen less.
The friend who bought them for me was also a bit surprised by the shipping charge - $18. Had I realized that, I probably would have looked search more for something different or that had free shipping options.
These are a good deal for overall square footage and colors, but not in terms of quality. Overall, I still like them, but now that I've discovered Step2 mats are 0.7" thick and come in colors I'm tempted to replace these.
