Toys and Games Reviews of Vtech - V.Smile Baby - Infant Development SystemCustomer Review: slow Summary: 2 Stars
My 23 month old son recieved this for Christmas. I was really excited about it until we plugged it in... It barely hold his attention for more than a couple of minutes. It is so slow and boring. We will not be investing any more money into trying other cartriges. I haven't looked into the version for the next age group, maybe that is why it seems so slow to me. I am not impressed for the money.
Customer Review: V.Smile nice, but cuts a corner. Summary: 4 Stars
My 12 month old really liked the V.Smile it seems like a really nice toy.
The real bummer and only downside is I had to get my own 9v plug, it doesn't come with one. This is becoming a more and more aggravating theme with electronic toys. They all seem to want to have you buy at least one cable for them. Still I give this 4 out of 5 stars, 5 if it came with the freakin cable.
Customer Review: It was all I expected and more! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this for my grandson who lives across the country from us. He loves books and now has one with our pictures so he can learn to associate us with our pictures and names. The plastic covers for each page fold under to protect the pictures from little mouths.
I would recommend this for any parent or grandparent who is not always near their children.
Customer Review: So many activities to keep entertained Summary: 4 Stars
I bought the V.Smile for my older neice and recently purchased this for her younger sister. She's almost 2 and LOVE this. I was very pleased at the pacing and simple animations for the age group. I also love the fact that it's a toy or a console that plugs easily into the TV. But the best part is the baby sign language. There's so much packed into this system for $40.
Customer Review: Waste of time and money Summary: 1 Stars
My in laws got this for our daughter and I hate it.
Complete waste of money, and the game cartridges are too expensive.
My daughter played with the keyboard for a little while but
she was not interested in the "interactive" TV learning part.
She'd rather go outside and play. It has been collecting dust
for 12 months now.
