Toys and Games Reviews of Vtech Preschool Learning Tote and Go Laptop - 2010 Version

Customer Review: Highly Fun and Educational
Summary: 5 Stars

My son, who's 3 got this as a birthday presentfor his third birthday, and is one of his favorite toys. He takes (& asks for it) wherever we go. Not to mention it is a great learning tool for all sort of things. From phonics to making up your own musical song. Also the 'interactive' monkey is very cute. This one is bit better than the Fisher-Price Fun 2 Learn laptop. The screen on this is better and very clear (not green). I was thinking of actually buying this for him as one of his birthday presents, and decided that with some of his birthday $ I would then buy it. I didn't have to now. Not to mention it is very durable, my son has drop a few times and it still works like brand new.VTech Tote 'N Go Laptop Plus

Customer Review: Great beginner learning toy!
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband and I bought this toy for our 3 yr. old daughter last Christmas given the fact that she was becoming more and more interested in trying to play games on our own computer. We didn't think she would catch on as quickly as she did but she is a whiz at most of the games on it. My husband and I had no clue how to show her what to do so she has been on her own from the beginning!

Its so funny and enjoyable to see her learning her abcs and advancing to highter levels but my only complaint is that the volume can't be turned off. Even at its lowest setting, it is still pretty loud but overall I can't complain. Its a great buy and she is still playing it today!(The battery life on it is amazing too! She plays with it quite often and we've yet to change the batteries)

Customer Review: My girls love their laptops
Summary: 4 Stars

We received the first laptop 2 years ago and then another one on Christmas so luckily, my girls don't have to fight over it. My soon-to-be 4 year old is just starting to like using it more because she's learned to use the mouse on our PC so it's easy for her to use it on the laptop. My only complaint is that the mouse doesn't stay in place so it's hard for her to use it in the car, which would be ideal. If there were a way to lock it into place, that would have been great. Other than that, she learns a little more everyday and I love to hear her get excited when she gets something right. My 2 1/2 year old likes to push the buttons but she doesn't understand it too much. But, she will in time. (I've had no trouble with them breaking. I think they're pretty durable.)

Customer Review: A Good Buy!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

I initially wanted this for my 2yr old daughter to keep her off of our computer, but it turned out to be much more than that. She loves this laptop and uses it everyday, it has helped her progress in her recognition of numbers and letters on site and challenges her as well!!! The screen was a bit small for me, but doesn't seem to bother her at all. Also I would have loved for the keyboards numbers to go past 10 or have the ability to type in numbers beyond 10 as my 2yr old can count well up to 30 now. It has 1 activity for shape sorting though I would have liked the laptop to have more activities that elaborated on not only shapes, but colors as well. However, overall my daughter really enjoys playing with this laptop and doing her morning lessons on it!!!

Customer Review: Great Gift for the Passive Aggressive Shopper
Summary: 2 Stars

Like many, I had high hopes for this toy. Electronic and musical toys generally don't bother me, but this one has the most horrible noises when the child misses the question. The games are difficult to figure out how to use, so my child would just push buttons (which resulted in more horrible noise). This toy also has a Spanish option at a push of a button. While this may be a great option for many children, my child has autism and it became a huge power struggle to help him play the game appropriately. Not only do I not understand what is being said, the missed questions result in more of the horrible noise! I wish that the feature was set up so that it wasn't so accessible.
