Toys and Games Reviews of Vtech - Nitro NotebookCustomer Review: FOR 4&5 year olds Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my 8 year old and he only likes the typing part, since he is learning how to type in school. But the rest of the games and learning activities are way to Easy for him. It mostly involves learning your letter, number, how to count prefect for my 4 years old and 5 year old, but not much of a challange for my 8 yr old. I would recommend it for kids under 6 years of age.
And the screen is way to small, sometimes it is hard to see the screen if there is not enough light in the room.
Customer Review: Excellent Learning Tool Summary: 5 Stars
The Nitro Notebook was an excellent choice for my 6 year old. She loves to learn & is learning to read so it provides many opportunities for her to do both. She loves the games & can play the majority alone. We sat for 2 hours one day & she was just picking out games she liked. She really loves it plus it looks almost exactly like the laptop I work on daily. She loves this because it looks like she is "working" just like I am with a real mouse & all. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Customer Review: A gift that keeps giving Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this activity notebook for my granddaughter who has scheduled a thirty minute session each night after dinner. It was her request, by the way. I like the fact that it tracks progress and has levels of difficulty that will keep her attention for years to come. As a bonus, her little brother can use it as well when he is old enough. I predict its usefulness in their household for at least the next twelve years. Its the best gift I've ever purchased for a child.
Customer Review: Christmas Morning Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this as a christmas gift for my nephew's brother and I was sooo happy when he couldn't put it down. He had Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers and even Transformers and still this was the gift that he was most taken with and couldn't put down all morning. My nephew was telling him, "You have computer just like daddy's!!" It can also grow with him as he is only five right now and it is quite durable as we have hardwood floors and he has little butterfingers:-)
Customer Review: some notebooks say 5 and some say 6 Summary: 4 Stars
The notebook is a little too old for a 5 year old but will be great for a first grader to help them learn to add and spell. The key board functionality is really pretty close to a regular laptop. My 5 year old niece loves the ability to type in a "Word" format. We haven't explored all the games yet but they seem to be very simplistic. (She needs help to get into different functions though.) Over all a good introduction into a keyboard and computer.
