I purchased this toy for my 4 yr. old for christmas. I had read alot of reviews about the picture quality and even though I was unsure I decided to purchase the camera anyway. I am happy I did. My little girl loves this so much. My boys have taught her how to use the different settings and so far she hasn't bored of it. To address the picture quality, I think there is a trade off, durability over picture quality. No, this camera isn't what you will want to take pic.'s with but you won't have to follow your little one around to make sure it isn't broken. Its important to remember this is a toy. I got it on sale for 39.99 with super saver shipping so as far as I am concerned it was a good purchase.Customer Review: great start camera

I bought this for my 2.5 yr. old daughter...she loves to take pictures!! It is very easy for her to use. Of course because it's a kids camera the pic quality is not great & if you are too close to the flash is bleaches everything. But i love the fact that you can put a photo frame, a silly nose or hat and you can even put sounds to the pictures. As an adult, i wish the effects, like cube or globe or sounds would stay on each pic. I also wish they would have just put a review button, so you dont have to take so many steps just to see the pic you just took.
I definetly recommend this camera as a starter camera...it's fun for the kids & you!!! also...it is very sturdy!! Thanks VTECH!

Purchased this for my 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter for Xmas! She loves it, but the pictures in normal room light aren't too clear! They are very dark and the flash should be on but isn't. Yet during the daylight hours the flash is on. To be fair we haven't read the manual yet, because she keeps taking pics and showing them to us! Sure beats her using my $250 camera. And it has games to play for the older child such as Tic TAc Toe and also has borders for the pics and stuff! I know once we figure it all out we will love it! It's been well rated and well reviewed and I checked a lot of reviews! Can't wait to upload the photos to the internet and see what we can do with them!Customer Review: Great starter camera for kids

I bought these for my 4-yo and 6-yo and they haven't stopped using them. Both figured out how to take photos, videos, turn flash on and off, edit photos, and play the games with little or no help. They even connect them to the tv to show the videos. And so far they seem to be indescructible.
Built-in memory holds over 100 photos but the quality is not great. Outdoor photos typically look ok. Indoor photos usually need the flash. Kids tend to get too close to the subject and the flash washes out the photos. The resolution is low even compared with today's cell phone cameras. If they improved the resolution/photo quality this camera would be perfect.

I bought this camera on Amazon for $[...]. My 3 1/2 year old daughter absolutely loves it. Aside from the new 14" Dora bike she got for Christmas, it is her next favorite present. She was using my new Blackberry Pearl to take pictures of everything. But, after dropping it many times and always wanting my phone - I decided to get her a camera for herself. This camera is cute (pink!), easy to handle, and she takes pretty good pictures with it. She has figured out how to work everything. It is fun to plug into your television and look at all of the pictures. You can even add fun digital frames to the pictures on your tv too. I would recommend this for a child ages 3 - 5.
