GO TO COSTCO, IT IS ONLY $[...] AND COMES WITH A CASE!
This is the coolest toy ever, a true look into my 4 year old's world. She took over 300 pictures within the first couple hours, I went through the pictures to clear some out and make room on the memory card and got quite a kick out of the pictures she had taken, she had pretty much documented our entire house including the toilets!
There is an option to put funny hats & goofy eyes on people while taking pictures, a fun option, but also educational, it takes some skill to line up the hats & eyes on the person being pictured, this will teach your little one to center people in the frame. My 4 year old mastered this and now takes better pictures than most adults.

My daughter has had a few digital cameras in the past year. The past couple that shes had are just crap digital camera, supposedly had the viewing screen, but you couldn't make anything out. In my search to find her a good durable "kids" camera I came across the kidizoom. I think its been one of the best purchases of the year!! She absolutley loves it.
The viewing screen, you can actually make out the pictures, and it takes pretty decent pictures. She loves the Video Camera portion as well and the games. All in all we're very happy with the camera and it seems to be very durable. Only downfall that I can see it that there is no way to charge the camera, it eats up batteries rather quickly. But that's a minor thing.

I bought two of these at Christmas, a pink and a blue, for my son and daughter. Within the first hour, the memory on my son's was full of both pictures of videos - he's 9. For my daughter we have about 160 pictures of the floor and her foot - she's 3. The features such as games and foregrounds are a bit advanced for the 3yo but the 9yo uses them a lot. We downloaded to the computer and the quality of the pics are more decent than expected. We haven't tried hooking up to the tv yet. We tried to use an old SD card but it wasn't recognized, a 2GB was interminably slow, so we ended up buying a new 1Gb which worked perfectly. Both cameras have been dropped and banged around and so far no problems, so durability is good.Customer Review: Well worth the money.

I purchased this camera for a 6 year old girl and she loves it. The pictures are great under sunlight conditions but when it's a little dark the camera has a problem with lighting. There is a flash and it works well up close but not so good at a distance. This camera can take still pictures, Videos, Play games and add special effects to your photos. In the battery compartment there is an SD card slot for extra storage capacity. Use a smaller capacity SD card. 256MB. or so. The large ones such as a 1GB. just slow it down.
If you're looking for high quality pictures, this camera is not for you but if you're looking for a first camera that will entertain a young person for hours at a time, you can't beat this one.

I am so pleased with this product. It is very durable I can't even count how many times it has hit the floor. My 4 year old has no trouble working the camera. It even has a feature where you can add items to your pictures, for example there is a pair of funny glasses and nose, you line it up to the persons face, take the picture, and they are wearing the glasses and nose. She thinks it is a hoot to add the items to her pictures. I haven't had a chance to print or develop any of the pictures yet......I do delete more than I haved saved so I am not sure about the quality of the pictures. My niece received the Fisher Price camera and it didn't compare. The Vtech has more options and features to choose from.
