My son 6 year old got this camera for Christmas and he loves it. It takes decent pictures and is very easy to use. He has taken it on vacation to Disney and it keeps him away from my digital camera. It does not have a lot of memory space but a cheap 2GB memory card will give them all the space they need. I also chose this camera over the Kid Tough Digital Camera because he is also able to play games on it making it a travel necessity. Customer Review: Stopped working after 2 weeks

My son loved this toy for the 2 weeks that it worked. The down button stopped functioning after 2 weeks. Vtech has done nothing but give us the run around about getting it replaced. Way to stand behind your product!Customer Review: Great toy for Toddler.

My son is 3 and absolutely loves this camera. He has had it since Christmas and has learned to use the video settings on his own. The camera also has games on it, which I catch him playing with more than taking pictures or videos. I don't like that it has different settings for the flash because usually he is taking pictures inside and if he turns off the flash then the pictures are very dark and you can't see much. It does take decent pictures and is great for something for him to learn on. We have never printed any of his pictures of anything so I don't know how they turn out. Very, very durable. My son has thrown this camera all over the place, dropped it on concrete and stepped on it many times and I have had no problems with it not working. Batteries do drain pretty quick, but we have rechargables in it. Customer Review: Poor Vtech Customer Service Resolution "Customer Negligence"

After two months, this camera quit working. I checked the battery compartments (there are two) to see if they needed a new set of batteries and found that all four of the fresh, new batteries I placed in this new camera two months ago were leaking.
I called Vtech customer service and spoke with two different representatives regarding this problem. They told me that it was my fault that the camera was not working because I did not remove the batteries after my children stopped playing with it for a couple of weeks. They read the manual to me, word-for-word, which stated that the batteries should be "removed after an extended period of time."
I asked if two weeks was considered an "extended period of time," and they would not give me a clear answer, but dodged the question and stated that the warranty on this camera no longer applied because of my "negligence."
This camera took mediocre - if that! - photos and video. It also cost a lot of money for the quality of photos and a child's toy at that.
Hopefully, this experience does not happen to anyone who does decide to purchase this camera. But be warned that Vtech will NOT honor their warranty on this camera if they believe you did not follow the manual's instructions. Unfortunately, the instructions are worded so that Vtech has the ability to make the instructions say what they want when you call with an issue or problem.
The second representative offered me a "discounted" price to order a new camera - $42.00. This price does NOT include tax or UPS shipping charges. So, basically, it was hardly a discount after all.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the Vtech customer service "resolution" of this issue and will no longer purchase Vtech toys.

Our 3 year old has taken hundreds of photos with the on board memory which has plenty of room. I would guess it holds close to 500 photos. He has yet to use the video function. We have not bothered to upload anything either. We simply format the hard drive every coupl'a days. It offers great ergonomics for small hands. Although, he has dropped it multiple times w/o noticeable damage. The on board games are simple. The LCD screen is pretty dark when taking photos; but shows well when viewing and editing.
