Got these for my triplet boys who just turned six. I am happy they are mature enough to utilize all the neat features, such as borders,stamps and kaleidescope features. I'm not sure younger kids would do more than take basic pictures and play the games. The games on the camera have been a big hit, and an extra bonus, since we only have to take the one item with us on the go. Despite lots of play, the boys have not made it through all the levels of the games, which become increasingly challenging. And SO durable!!! Though the cameras are a good size for their small hands, they've been dropped countless times, and have suffered no damage. The picture quality is fair, but the kids don't care. Mostly they take pictures of household items anyway. So far there has been plenty of memory - I just checked and one camera has 187 images on it. The kids are thrilled with the video feature, which again is of fair quality, but what fun to get a video and soundtrack of Mommy yelling at another sibling! This is a great toy to introduce kids to digital cameras. They learn to focus, can zoom, and take the auto flash off to experiment with lighting. I plan to download some of the better pictures, and take the kids through the steps of printing. I cannot compare this toy camera with others, but I do highly recommend the Vtech Kidizoom Plus Digital Camera.
