I brought the Vtech - Vtech - Cyber Spy Notebook for my 7 year old granddaughter to help her to improve here reading, math, and spelling skills. I do not consider the Vtech - Cyber Spy Notebook a toy because it can be connect to a computer and that it teaches a child computer skills. I would recommed it for children 7 and up, but not for six year old. My grandson who is 6 could not understand how to use the notebook. My granddaughter was very happy to have a laptop of her own.
