My 5 year old nephew loves this globe. He hasn't stopped talking about the Egyptians and pyramids and the oceans ... He's really learning a lot.
He has not grown tired of it after a few weeks. He got a lot of gifts this holiday season, and this is probably his favorite one.
More info that I wasn't sure of when I bought this, so hopefully it helps you:
- It comes with all the batteries it needs.
- There is a wireless joystick not shown in the picture. You go to places by "flying" to them
- You can select what you want to do - for example, language phrases or information on the location
- It may look like a baby toy, but it definitely is not - it is perfectly appropriate for a 5, 6, or 7 year old. It's packed with real information.
- You won't find every country on here - it's got many major areas and is rich in the content for those locations, but, for example, the entire Middle East is missing.
Great, great toy. Children in the given age range will love it.
