Customer Review: My son loves this toy!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my son last Christmas. Although I agree the phonics aren't perfect, I've been amazed by my son's progress with this toy. My son will be two this October. He frequently seeks out this toy and plays independently with it, switching from game to game, and he LOVES the music part (carries it around like a boom box, dancing to the music).

But what I was most amazed by was when I could ask him "Where is the "K"?" and he could push that button - through almost the entire alphabet! He isn't two yet, but has picked this up by playing with this toy. Part of the appeal for him is the lights and sounds that happen when he pushes the buttons, and part is the clapping and cheering when he gets things correct.

Way to go Vtech!

Customer Review: Great toy despite a couple of issues
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my daughter 4 years ago when she was 2. I'm happy to report that she doesn't say "libary" nor does she think "push a buttons" is proper grammar DESPITE the fact that she played with this toy every evening for quite awhile. My son also really enjoyed it and my youngest is just now starting to play with it. It's the same one, so I guess it's pretty durable. My kids love the music with all the flashing lights keeping the beat (I do too) and the large letters. It's great for teaching simple letter identification - the applause is a great touch. I love this toy because it's fun. It's educational too but it's fun enough and easy enough to manipulate that a child will sit and tinker with it for quite awhile. As the mother of 3 small kids, that is invaluable to me.

Customer Review: Waste of Money
Summary: 3 Stars

My aunt bought this toy for her daughter it was so nice i decided to purchase one for my son. the one my aunt bought stopped working after a while (1 1/2 yrs) and the one I bought for my son did the same thing in a little over a year it jus stopped working. I thought it needed new batteries tried changing them, did not make a difference I jus have it there watching me because it is in such a good condition it would be ashame to throw it away. They should try selling this toy for 10.00 because thats what it's worth for something which just gives up after a while. what are the olds of 2 of the same toys lasting around the same time frame.

Customer Review: A fun and educational toy!
Summary: 5 Stars

I work with special needs children around 2-3 years of age and every one of them loves this toy. They enjoy it so much that I purchased another for my 3 year old and 5 year old boys. They both really enjoy it too. As described by other reviewers, it has many modes such as music, counting, phonics, spelling and telling the time. It also has a low and high volume setting. The music and words are of good quality and are clear, making it easy to understand. The children also like watching the keys light up during the activities.

Customer Review: Good Toy
Summary: 5 Stars

We've had this toy for just under a month now. My son, 2 years and 4 months old, is singing the alphabet song. , Sometimes even independent of the toy, he repeats all of the words the toys says, and sings the other songs on it. The toy is light weight, has a handle and is easy to carry around. It has two different volume levels, that are easy on a parent's ears. It is built tough to last. I have a home with stairs and the toy has been dropped down them (and it still works). This toy is worth its price.
