Toys and Games Reviews of Colorforms Activity Toys Original 60th Anniversary EditionCustomer Review: Nostalgia Summary: 5 Stars
I loved Colorforms as a child and was pleasantly surprised when I found them as a Christmas present for my 3 year old grandson. He loves making designs with them and they are educational as each set contains different colored shapes. Colorforms will help a child learn their colors and shapes. He has had them for over a year now and they are in great shape and still provide lots of quality play time.
Customer Review: Encourages creativity Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my 3 yo daughter but my 7 yo son has played with it more. He has enjoyed making patterns and also creating scenes. Each color comes as a full sheet and you are supposed to peel off the excess to reveal the shapes stuck to the backing board. My tip is that I saved the excess colorform material and cut it into different shapes to expand the selection. I made stars and hearts, etc.
Customer Review: Colorforms Still A Winner Summary: 5 Stars
I am always a bit desperate to find new toys that inspire imagination and creativity for my 5 year old. The Original Colorforms does the trick. My son makes his mini masterpieces with great pride, enjoying the process of creating something that doesn't have an established end result. I do feel the set to be pricey, however, but worth it in the end. Kids can easily enjoy this from ages 5-10.
Customer Review: Great concept but will NOT stick. So, useless . . . Summary: 1 Stars
It was a very disappointing experience on Christmas morning when we found that none of the shapes stick to the boards. This was extremely frustrating for both my 5 year old and me. And for the price of this set, I expected it to at least work as designed. I will be returning it to Amazon after the holiday. Recommendation: Don't waste your money and endure the frustration.
Customer Review: Disappointed! Summary: 3 Stars
I am a little disappointed with this toy, which I bought for my 3 year old. She loves playing with the shapes. However, the pieces did not stick well to the black cardboard at all. I saw this in another review so perhaps I will call the manufacturer. The spiral bound book also fell apart literally on the first use. I am surprised it was not better constructed.
