Toys and Games Reviews of Doctor Who - Tardis Rotating LED Mobile Phone CharmCustomer Review: Puts A Smile On My Face. Summary: 5 Stars
To be honest, when I see girls with phone charms I think how generic. BUT when I saw this.....had to have it. I got it for the shear purpose its the almighty TARDIS and it spins and lights up when you get a text or call and vice versa. I will say one thing, its quite bright. O well it makes me giggle when I get a text because the Doctor Who theme is my message tone. Haha! And this sucker has a motor in it it seems because each time it spins I feel its going to fly off. But like I said in the header: simply puts a smile on your face. Nothing more. Its pretty essential for a fan of the Doctor(Tennant or bust!). Im giving five stars because its pretty amazing and it gives me a good feeling. Ha!
Customer Review: I love it Summary: 5 Stars
I think we now have seven of these charms for a family of five. If you love the Doctor and are dorks who dream of zipping around in the TARDIS, then this is a magnificent product! Even when it doesn't work. But if you just want a cute phone charm that works most of the time, this probably will not make you happy. We found the charm works best with the cheapy Samsung phones and the nice Blackberry Curve. Not so much with the iPhone GS. But sometimes, and this is a true geek thrill, it works when the home phone rings. Ah, the Doctor! He's coming for us. Yes, he can't wait to fill the TARDIS with a loud, impatient American family. Hey, Rose and Mickey weren't quiet--we can dream.
Customer Review: Fun little toy Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this fully aware that it wasn't going to work with my phone. I really just loved the idea of carrying a little tardis around with my wherever I went, and it has garnered some comments here and there, but mostly I have just enjoyed having it with me. It goes off on odd occasions, usually when I bump into something, or am near a cordless phone, but also when I go into roaming, and for that alone the little thing is far more useful than the teeny weeny icon that shows up on my phone when I go into roaming. Since I had no expectation of it working with my incoming/outgoing calls, I am totally happy with this whole little piece. Adorable.
Customer Review: Amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
I was so excited to get this in the mail for cuteness factor alone. I didn't think it'd light up and spin since I have a Razr phone, and had to tie it to the little metal bar on the top righthand corner.. but it does! It's amazing, I can't stop playing with it. It even spins when I send a text message - and sometimes it spins before my phone even rings which freaked me out at first.
The only problem I've had so far is that it randomly decides to flash sometimes - maybe someone nearby's phone is going off and since it's not attached to an antenna, it can't tell the difference? Oh well, gives me something to look at!
Customer Review: Great item - wish it worked with 3 G network phones Summary: 3 Stars
I really wanted to keep this item; however, it does not work with 3G network phones; i.e., Verizon network phones that are newer than 2008. I would like to have known this prior to ordering the item. This information was in very tiny print on the packaging. It worked with my husband's old phone. It worked with my aunt's old phone. It would not work with my phone or my daughter's phone. Since I am the Dr Who fanatic, I was forced to return the item. I really wanted it to work on my phone, as the Tardis does exactly what it is supposed to do with the older phones, and it is so cool!
