Customer Review: Help! Tadpoles died first day we received them!

We received this habitat in April, didn't get the tadpoles until the mid-July. The tadpoles didn't appear healthy at the time of arrival. They died within hours of putting them into their new habitat. Well, with that said, my child was obviously upset. So, I have been searching for a way to order more, but I can't seem to find where it is that I ordered these from. If anyone has the address or phone number, I would appreciate it so much if you could put it in your review. After waiting for so long for these to arrive, I must have misplaced the information. It doesn't seem to be in the booklet and the website is no help at all. I think this would have been a great idea if they would have lived. I figured, if we can get horned-worms and caterpillars to turn into moths and butterflies, this shouldn't be that difficult. Especially when there are so many people who gave other ideas on feeding and such, in their reviews. Thanks so much.Customer Review: A long wait -- but a very loved frog

Like some others it took months for our tadpole to become a frog. The company was not very helpful when we called. Basically, the literature was quite misleading as to how long it takes for the transformation. We ran out of food before the change took place. Like others, we tried various environmental changes and believe that adding a little more indirect natural sunlight helped. I think the water temperature may have been a factor. However, it may merely have been a matter of time.
Froggie then lived for about a year after his transformation. My son was heartbroken when he died last week, so I am considering buying him another.
Planet Frog was not as durable as I had hoped, however, I don't think the inventors expected a soccer ball to go flying into the base and crush it. However, the main part with the water survived the impact.

Alright, our tads are not yet frogs, but after reading such poor reviews I wanted to give them some credit. The projects was an XMas gift, the tadpoles ordered in mid-January, received in February. I think they came close to Valentine's Day, actually safe, and so far healthy. So as far as the delivery, response, packaging and health, we give four stars. They are starting to change shape, so soon..... what I did not give the best reviews for is the quality of the container. It is a very flimsy plastic covering/surrounding to it making it hard to transport from room to room, etc. Also makes it hard to keep the family cat out of. But that is another story. In any case - the tads are healthy and cute, it is cute "landscaping" for them, but we are already looking to move that landscape or seascape rather to a new aquarium soon, no doubt!Customer Review: flimsy and tadpole company unreliable

This is a flimsy plastic that could easily break is the first problem 2nd was sending for the tadpoles, the first 2 we waited and waited several months and they ended up dead so we sent away for new ones, those actually came with one of the tadpoles already died, actually it looked cut so I think it was dead when it left the company but can't be sure, since it was gauranteed they slowly sent us a new one but neither that or the other one lasted more than a month and had no signs of becoming a frog, we followed the instructions so not sure what the problem was even tried talking to the pet store as well, we finally just gave up b/c it was too hard for the kids pets to keep dying.
I would list the info on it but it is pretty self explanatory from the picture, would list good points but there really aren't any.

I bought this for my son who was 4 at the time. I thought it would be a cool thing for him to see nature and how it works. Well, we got the tank and it should be for adults only! Because it is sooo flimsy!! The top comes off too easily!! Then we waited 4 months for the teadpoles to even come. They survived two days!!! We were so dissapointed. After buying the tank and then having to buy the tadpoles I thought it was wrong to charge us for the tadpoles in the first place!! So we ended up going to the river nearby and catching our own. That was very fun. The tadpoles lasted about a month...then I decided back to the river they go beacause it STUNK sooo bad!! It was stinking up the house. All in all it was more trouble then it was worth. Save your money...Buy a regular aquarium and an adult frog at the pet store.
