I got this for my 6 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it. It has replaced her typical nightlight and we have used it every night since Christmas. The unit feels a little fragile or easily-breakable however we have just put it on top the dresser and don't have any problems. The light fades out after about 15 minutes or so. The rainbow won't show up on walls if there is much light in the room but is bright in dark rooms. The rainbow shows up best on walls without picture frames or other decorations that make it hard for the rainbow to show up. I would recommend this for any child who loves rainbows or wants something different than a traditional nightlight.Customer Review: Really is a rainbow in the room!

I purchased this for my almost 6 yr old daughter who likes to fall asleep with a nightlight on, but since she shares a room with my 1yr old I did not want anything too bright or destracting. The rainbow in my room is the perfect thing! It projects a beautiful rainbow on the ceiling and wall exactly as stated. It shuts itself off, so no need to worry about leaving it on. My 1yr old loves it in the room and now has us put it on for him every night when he goes to sleep too! He ooohs and ahhhs at it. We are very pleased with it so far...plus it is small enough that I could see us bringing it with us on vacation as a nightlight if needed.Customer Review: Don't Hesitate To buy This Rainbow

I set this up today and went into a dark room to preview what it will look like at night in my room. It is soooo cool! I know this will be a terrific way to fall asleep.
And I would like to modify my review of the Moon in My Room. When I first set it up, I was irritated that it used so many batteries (that the description failed to mention), and had to unscrew the part where batteries go. I then judged the moon in the daytime, which is not a good indicator.
I've used it each night and it is fabulous. Don't hesitate to get both rainbow and moon. They are very cool and fun for both adults and kids.

My grandaughter has always loved rainbows...everytime I asked her if she wanted a certain color...she always said..GET ME RAINBOW COLORS!..well, she is 9 years old now and as I was searching for last years christmas presents for my 9 year old grandaughter and my 13 year old grandson, I came across this Rainbow in my room...she loves it and I am sooo happy I could buy it for her!she has it on often in her room and has had no problems what so ever...thank you Amazon...for making shopping easier!!!Uncle Milton Rainbow In My RoomCustomer Review: My daughters favorite toy!!!

The Rainbow in My Room has a very elegant design and magical features. I tried out one of the pre-production samples and it works amazingly well! Simply waves your hand under the arch (without touching anything), the built-in infrared sensor activates the unit and a beautiful rainbow casts on the wall in the dark room! The rainbow is bright and very realistic. A built-in timer will turn off the unit in 10 minutes to conserve power. Whoever came up with the idea and designed the item is truly a genius!
