I gave three of these frog habitats with two live tadpoles per habitat as Christmas gifts this year. After reading the other reviews concerning the tadpoles not ever sprouting legs, I purchased my tadpoles from another internet site. The habitats are very sturdy and look exactly as advertised. They were a big hit for the three boys who's ages ranged from 7 to 28.Customer Review: don't get tooo attached

Took forever for the tadpoles to reach frog status. And when they did, the frogs didn't last long. Son is 14, very good with animals, changing water, feeding and such. He's a great caretaker and was rather saddened when they died so quickly. He doesn't even want anymore. I'm going to put this simply: Frogs need room, to hop & to be frogs! They need AT LEAST A 20 GALLON TANK w/ better substrate than just plastic... and this kit sets you up for failure w/ tadpoles. Tadpoles are fragile & need better care! This is not how you care for live animals!Customer Review: Dead on Arrival
