The glowsticks work, and as long as you plan to use them for a children's party it should be just fine.
However, they're extremely weak glowsticks. In complete darkness they'll be fun enough for a bit, but otherwise they're pretty weak. We had a party where everybody brought their own glowsticks, and these were among the worst ones. The 99 cents store ones someone brought and these ones were the weakest of all. Some people had amazing ones that were thick and extremely powerful, it was significantly better/more fun. You could see them from afar, and the light was impressive. (I don't know what brand it was, but they were much bigger than these.)
This being said, theirs were also clearly way more expensive. If you're looking for very cheap glowsticks and don't mind the fact they won't really light up much, then you could always go with the ones here or the 99 cents store ones. They do work. They're just very weak.
Stay good for several hours, but are weak. If you don't mind that, it's a good value price-wise.
