It's been years since we've played canasta in our family. Every Sunday we would go to my grandparents house and play all day. We started playing again without the cards at first and then when I saw these on Amazon with the point values I had to have them. I know they are way to expensive for a deck of cards but I love to play Canasta and then I don't have to keep looking at the sheet to find out what the point count is when counting my meld. We like the cards because the number of what the card is worth is right on the card. I don't think they explain very well however; that you need a deck for every two players that you have. So if there are 4 players you need two decks etc. We really do like having the cards they are very convenient to use. Yes, the whole expeirence with Grandma comes back and it's easier then when we first learned, because everything is on the card points and all. It was amazing how all six of us sisters where able to pick the game up again after at least 50 years. We even played by the rules(included) for 6 players. The cost of these playing cards is unconscionable - $45.00! The only thing different in these cards, is the canasta point total printed on each card. If you know the rules, you can purchase a regular deck of cards for $4.00 and have an enjoyable game of canasta. Bicycle and Amazon should be ashamed to sell this product.Customer Review: good cards, bad service

love the cards. I ordered 4 sets of 2 decks each and for some unknown reason they were sent to me in two shipments, 3 sets in one box and 1 set in another box. never did figure out why this was necessary other than to make me pay twice the shipping and handling. won't be ordering this item again.
