My little girl (1 1/2yo) loves Dora, I can't go through a store without her spotting SOMETHING Dora and screaming "Dora!" at the top of her lungs and pointing at it excitedly. My husband and I very much enjoy buying her Dora. Found this, and couldn't resist! She doesn't play with it a whole bunch (it's a doll... and she's still a bit little) but she will move them around with her, hold onto her, and try to "mother" her sometimes. This doll holds up well, never had a problem with the hair (which is a big problem with a lot of the Dora dolls, they're all so thin that it gets knotted and yanks out) so even though the yarn head looks weird, it's worth it! I haven't had any problems, and she was so excited to get her. I admit that I've cut the string keeping the small backpack lid closed on Dora's back, and it actually is a small little compartment and I've shoved her small Boots beanie in there with his head popping out and she got a huge kick out of it. Even her stomach pops out of the shirt like in the show...ha ha. :P
