My 14 month old Princess love's Austin, she has the whole gang, Uniqua, Tasha, Tyron & Pablo and she love's them all. She always sits infront of the TV when the show is on surrounded by all her friends. I recomend this because there is no greater joy for a child than to be able to sit with one of his favorite show characters while watching it on TV...Customer Review: Imagination....go!

For a child that does not currently enjoy Nick Jr's The Backyardigans, Austin will not have any special significance. Compared to a typical Beanie Baby, Austin is not floppy or "beanie" sounding. And of course there are no hidden doors or flashing lights or noises. However, to a child who already enjoys playing with his or her "backyard friends" even when the music and dancing from the show is over, this toy has the potential to be a best buddy!
From the time he began to watch the show, my son (now 5) has made up stories with the Backyardigans all day long. Austin, in particular, has gone even to the grocery store with us (even holding my hand when we cross the street). I was hesitant to bring a tiny, real-life manifestation of my son's large imagination into reality. But the price was reasonable, and I wanted to give it a try. For a very imaginative child, it was worth it! Even his younger sister toddles around with Austin when he lets her. The creative play has been helped by this little stuffed kangaroo. I may buy one or two other Backyardigans in the future and see what they all do together.

We have the whole set of the Backyardigans beanies. My two children will often play out their favorite adventures and they enjoy keeping the set of 5 friends together wherever they play.Customer Review: Very Nice!

We used the Austin & Tasha Beanie Babies to anchor down a huge Uniqua balloon for my daughters 3rd Birthday. After we got rid of the balloon she now plays with the Beanies. My daughter is nuts for the Backyardigans. She's got plushies of them in several sizes. These mid-sized Ty beanie babies are the best of the lot. This is a well made plushie - it really looks like Austin - captures his panache (he's the shy nice one). It's very soft and cuddly - yet it holds its shape well. It's tough - none of them have every blown out a seam. They are just the right size too - not too big (they are small enough for the day bag and get carried everywhere - about the size of tot's forearm)- and not too small (tiny ones get lost too easily). It's a winner.
