Customer Review: Lovely "Twilight" keepsake, but not worth $50+...

I freakishly *adore* this keyring/bagclip, but please bear in mind that I paid nowhere NEAR the current asking price of $61.50, and I've seen it priced even more steeply here in the recent past. This item was originally listed for $6.99, and that's considerably closer to what it's really worth, in my opinion. I have mine displayed in my room among my other little Twilight keepsakes since it doesn't appear to be very sturdy in general, and definitely not durable enough for the wear-and-tear my keyrings typically go through. I didn't want to risk losing any of the numerous small charms that do a lovely job of telling the story this item represents, or have a piece of the logo break off while using it on a daily basis.
As other reviewers have already mentioned, the charms are only detailed and/or brightly colored on one side and hollow on the reverse. I agree that the photo is misleading as well...the predominant color is closer to gunmetal than silver, and the logo charm is approximately twice as large as it appears here. Neither of the latter considerations was a problem for me, as I very much like the overall appearance. I do, however, wish the charms were finished on both sides; that would add polish to the already-nice appearance.
One reviewer stated that she hung hers on her rear-view mirror; my best friend did the same with her Twilight-themed necklace...I love that idea, and think I may steal it for my keyring and 3 necklaces, because that would enable me to display the items in a more eye-catching fashion than having them just lying on the TV stand. I could then show 'em off more effectively! ;)
The lion and lamb lines in the book very much touched my heart, and this keychain brings them to life in such a cute way. This item would be cherished by nearly any die-hard fan of Edward and Bella's epic love story, but in all honesty, I would not pay any more than $15-$20 absolute maximum for it, considering the quality.

I originally bought this keychain for a friend but decided to keep it. This keychain is for "Twilight" fans and the pieces symbolize the images displayed in the "Twilight" movie and book franchise. Overall, this is not a very sturdy keychain (so it should not be placed on a backpack, for instance, because a piece would break off easily). The little pieces are only colored beautifully on one side and are hollow on the opposite side. For the price, you get what you pay for though. One surprising thing to note, however, is that the image does not display how large the item is which is even better for advertising your love of this book/movie! I am absolutely in love with the series and cannot wait for the movie to come out, and this keychain makes the perfect gift for any "Twilight" fan.
**Note: This is not to be used as a toy and should be given to children (teens/adults)only under the assumption that they will NOT put the keychain in their mouth as the little pieces could break off (and choked on).

i bought this when it was 9.99 which still seems like a lot for a keychain. i dont think its worth the 30 it is now, unless you absolutely must have this keychain.
i just got it in the mail today, and i plan on putting it on my keychain soon.
i think the proportions of it are slightly different tho than as pictured. the twilight logo appears smaller and doesnt hang down as far as the lion charm does. in reality it (the twilight charm) is half of the keychain. like the other reviewer (who gave it a extremely negative review) the beads are pretty cheap, but i wasn't expecting swarovski crystals. it is also not shiney as pictured, its pewter, which i think is nicer because its kind of gothic looking.
im pretty sure the chain links holding the charms on will hold up. my only concern is that when im driving i'll be irritated by the clinking of the charms.
overall, i like this, but search around to see if you can get a better price than 29.99.

Hey - it's a keychain, not a toy. I went ahead and gave it 5 stars, overall. But I have to tell you, the thing looks like pewter. Is it pewter? I don't know. Or, it may just be that it's designed to look older? The part of the keychain that says "twilight" is pretty hackin' awesome. The little apple has a thick "candy coating" that makes it look like you could almost eat it. Don't eat it, though. Your dentist has enough money in the bank without you supporting his family. So, yes. Buy this. Only if you want to, though. I'm not saying you have to. I am saying that if you like Twilight, or keychains, or pewter like things that you can hook on to other metal things or even shiny fake apples, you should probably buy this. I love this new keychain. The only problem with durability that *I* can see is that a couple of the rings which attach the charms & crystals were not closed all the way. Simple matter of looking it over carefully & using needle nose pliers to close any that needed it. As stated by many, this item is not shiney silver - it's a flat pewter color which I think is still very nice looking. The charms are all one dimensional & the "crystals" are some sort of shiney cut plastic (which you'd never know unless you touched them). I removed the keyring from mine & attached the chain directly to the clip, which hangs from the review mirror in my car. All in all a very attractive item, perhaps priced five dollars too high however.
