My son absolutely loves his "letters." He knew all the letters and numbers at 2, and although this is rated for children 3 and up, I felt he was old enough for it. We don't pressure him to do this. He just wants to play with these letters (and the magnetic board). My mother was impressed at how large the letters are, and that they are much nicer than the set I had as a child. They are durable and colorful - we intend to start teaching him small words like "car," "cat," and "dog" using this set.
Description of Jumbo Uppercase Magnetic Letters
Break out these bright magnetic letters and numbers and create a learning station right on your refrigerator door. This set includes all the letters in uppercase form and the numbers from one to nine plus zero. Also included are math operational symbols and straight pieces to set up simple math equations. The washable letters and numbers are 2.5 inches high and are made of tough plastic with rounded edges in a rainbow of brilliant colors. Everything stores away in a clear plastic pouch with a bright red handle. Preschoolers can learn to identify the letters, numbers, and colors, and school-aged children can spell simple words and practice their math facts.
