I bought these to give a little more light to my boys' bedroom in hopes that they'd be willing to let me close their bedroom door at night. Depending on how long they are exposed to light, they'll glow for up to about half and hour or less. The dots that come with the stars work but we've had some of the stars fall off the ceiling. I'm not sure if they were "helped" along by my boys or not. I looked up star charts and put the stars up in various constellations on the ceiling and under the top bunk of our bunk beds. My boys like seeing the constellations and learning their names. The stars on the underside of the top bunk don't get enough light to glow much at all. Very fun, but they don't give enough light for my boys to be okay with their bedroom door closed.Customer Review: They worked great for us!

My husband and I just finished putting up these stars in our son's room today. We bought some extra sticky tack to use since the adhesive they give you is not enough for all the stars. Everything turned out great and our son had a blast putting up the stars in his room.
We are very happy with the glow of the stars when we turned out the lights. We left his light on for a while to get them "charged" and then turned out the lights before he went to bed. His whole room was glowing! I think we all enjoyed looking at them tonight!
Of course the glow didn't last forever, but just long enough for him to fall asleep.
We are very pleased with these stars and are looking to buy another batch to finish up his room.

i would highly recommend these stars.
some reviews i read said there was not enough of the double stick stickers to attach them with....and that is NOT TRUE...there is PLENTY of the sticky stuff...i even cut up some of the excess pieces to hang extra stars that we had up on the ceiling.
there is MORE than enough for one bedroom ceiling!!!!!!
they are perfect size stars for a bedroom, 3 5/8" big stars and 1 5/8" smaller stars.
they glow for about 5 or 10 minutes after you turn the lights off, just like any other glow in the dark item.
they are a good quality thick plastic that is about 1/8" thick.
i would highly recommend!!!

These stars are pretty weak. They are very large so they are very noticeable during the day and when you turn out the lights they aren't very bright (and that's with a chandelier charge from the middle of the room!). I'd say they glow for all of 15 minutes. :P
I found that the adhesive worked well, but there wasn't enough of it. I ran out and had to use some tacky stuff from my daughter's wall mount Aquadoodle. Both of my kids got the stars in their stockings, but I still haven't put them up in my son's room, because I was disappointed. I'm surprised they have such a decent rating.

Good product which is why I rated it a four. I have no complaints about the product itself however the price is not too convenient I would recommend visiting wal-Mart or any of those stores that sell everything because you will probably save a couple bucks. If you don't mind the price then I definitely recommend these because they glow very brightly and they last a while which I really like. Most of the stars are small there isn't much of a variety of siZes just a bunch of small ones and like 8 or 9 big ones.
