To paraphrase Garrison Keilor, all grandchildren are above average. However, this kid really is, given that he is into competitive chess on a national basis, with kids two and three years ahead of him; it is scarey, watching him at a chessboard. I figured that these would challenge him even if only for a little while, and I was right.
Description of Brain Bogglers Set 1 & 2 Bundle
Ten polished metal "disentanglement" style brain teasers. Decent guage metal; reasonably sturdy. Each puzzle requires a unique series of moves to separate the two pieces. Rejoining the two halves can be equally challenging. Once you learn to solve the puzzle, attempt doing it behind your back. Now you will really be able to Amaze your friends !!
