I bought two of these for my grandsons, and they had a wonderful time with these flying toys. And they fly really well! If you use these near homes or trees, I can almost guarantee that they're going to get caught on the roof or on a tree branch. We took the Skyrocopters onto a baseball field so that there wouldn't be any trees around. Standing on the pitcher's mound, the spinning blades still managed to fly into a tree near the road. There was a bit of a breeze that day, so perhaps the wind caught the propellers. I like the fact that there are two spinners in each box. If a tree grabs one, then your child will have another to use until you can find a long stick or pole to knock the first one out of the tree. Anyway, just plan ahead and have the kids use these toys in an open area.
If you're going to have a picnic in an open area, get these for the kids. The price is definitely right! I recommend this toy for children who are five years old or more. Younger children may not be able to pull the string fast enough to launch the spinner into the air.
