Toys and Games Reviews of Battat Mirror Pound-A-Ball Toy, Colors May Vary

Customer Review: Good but not the Greatest
Summary: 4 Stars

We bought this toy because we liked the cause & effect sequence it taught (if you push the ball through the hole you receive a viusl reward). We also liked that the colored balls matched up with the ball openings (Reinforces colors and matching). Our only dissappointment was the hammer. It takes a great deal of force to get the hammer to push the balls through the holes. If your child is sound sensitive (like mine) the hammer is an immediate turn off and becomes more of a stresser . Our remedy: we threw out the hammer and we have our child place both hands over each ball and push down. It's still a bit hard to get the ball to drop down but with assitance our child loves it.

Customer Review: Great Fun For Little Toddlers
Summary: 4 Stars

My son got this for his first birthday and has loved it for the past 4 months. He learned very quickly how to place the balls along the top and hit them with the hammer. He squeals while he watches the balls roll through the mirrored maze inside... it's very cute.

The only problem I have with it is that he's figured out how to stuff all sorts of small toys into the holes on top, including his fisher price little people animals. They can get into the toy, but I have to take a screwdriver to open the back and get them out. I do wish it unsnapped easier to free trapped toys, but the upside is that it's very durable and hard for a toddler to destroy.

Customer Review: Every Day Favorite!
Summary: 5 Stars

We purchased this for our 12 month old for Christmas and he has played with it every day since. It did not take him long to learn how to set the balls himself and pound them with the hammer. He also likes to use his hands. Some reviewers have said that the balls do not fit through the holes easily enough, but this for us is a plus since it adds more of a challenge for our little guy. I give it five stars because it is so well made and entertaining, but I will say that it is frustrating that the ball tower is separate from the base and easily topples over with too much force. I may try super-gluing the two pieces together. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Customer Review: Love this toy
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this toy for my daughter when she was 1. She loved it and played with it all the time. We used it for learning the names of the colors and matching the balls to the color coded rings. I brought it out again when my son turned 1, and he also loved it. It is a favorite during playdates, too. He is now 2, and she is 5, and while they both still play with it on occasion, we now play differently with it. The balls seems to be indestructible, so you can bounce them on tile (or wood) floors and they will bounce really high, and the kids can chase them. An excellent gift for a one year old, will last through several kids.

Customer Review: One of the most played with toys
Summary: 5 Stars

While I didn't think much of this toy when my daughter got it for her 1st birthday, it has been one of the most used toys we have. She went through the various stages of placing the balls on top, then hitting them down with hand, then increased coordination in hitting it with the hammer, then as she got older, sorting the balls into the correct colored holes. She is four now and it never did get packed away. Even the older neighbors play with it. Now we have been watching our one year old twins enjoy it. When I purchased this one from Amazon, it was actually for my one year old niece. Hopefully she will enjoy it as well.
