Customer Review: My honest opinion- it's my least favorite game!

Ok, I've seen that reviewers that have given this a bad review have gotten bad reviews themselves (ie. people are voting that their review isn't helpful). Well I'm just going to give you my opinion but also tell you WHY I feel this way about the game, and hopefully you'll find it helpful. First of all, I love trivial Pursuit, I have the millenium edition, Genus edition and the Star wars edition, so I wasn't already going into the game with a bad attitude or anything. I was very excited about this edition, I was born in the 70's so I figured questions from the last 20 years would be just up my alley, I didn't expect to know all of them, but I expected the questions to be challenging, entertaining and well-worded. It was challenging, it asked many things I've never heard of, and the questions weren't entertaining and were so poorly worded, we had to read the questions 3 times before we understood what the question was looking for. Even the topics are obscure- like "Global View" what exactly is that representing? At least other trivial pursuit you knew what type of question would be asked. I agree with all the other reviewers that said the board was extremely cheaply made, and I had trouble with the card sorter too, it would bend cards and pass out 2-3 at a time :( I enjoyed other versions much, much better. They'd ask questions where, maye you didn't know the answer- but you'd laugh when you found out- Like "Who Invented the toliet?" Answer: Thomas J. Crapper. There are no questions like that here. Now it's not just my opinion, I have played with a total of 8 different people (at different times) they are all 20 or older with different likes and educational backrounds, and everyone agreed they did not like this version. Also, look at other reviewers, you'll see my points are echoed in other reviews. Lastly, I noticed a big price drop, I payed quite a bit more for it, so Hasbro muct be receiving complaints about the cheapness of the board. My advice is to try to see if a friend or family member has it before buying, ask them what they think of it, or maybe try it before buying it yourself. Good Luck.

All 4,800 questions are brand new brain teasers from the last two decades. Reach into the depths of your memory to recall facts from the last twenty years of your life. Win by collecting all six pie wedges and answering the final question first. Comes with a special deluxe card dispenser. For 2 to 6 players or teams.If you remember playing the popular original in the early '80s, you may want to get this Trivial Pursuit 20th Anniversary edition for nostalgic reasons. If you remember a lot of the last two decades, you'll want to get this edition to test yourself. Moving around the circular board, players collect wedges for correct answers to questions on "all things trivial from the past 20 years." Examples are: What tennis star was forced to do sit-ups in her crib? What became the third nation in the Western Hemisphere to hit a population of 100 million? What was the last Dune novel to be written by Frank Herbert? These and the remaining questions are distributed from a fancy new card shoe that is included. The back of the card dispenser has a small compartment for storing the tokens, pie wedges, and die.
