Customer Review: Putt-Putt A' Plenty

I recently purchased this toy at my local Toys R Us retail store using a coupon. It's simple to set up, (plug and play is as simple as it gets) and loads of fun to play. The people who play it at our house are all over the age of 20, so adults can have fun with this as well as the kids. The only thing that can be said is the putter is a wee bit too short, but this is easily remedied by simply elevating the base. I'm sure people almost 6' tall were not the first people they thought would play with this. Definitely a good choice for any age.
(I can't understand why someone would rate something negatively based on a retail store experience. This is the online store, which is usually a different price/set up than brick and mortar stores. If you find it cheaper, good for you. These reviews should be about the products. Either way, this is a great choice for Christmas.)

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
We were in your Monroeville, PA store yesterday to purchase the above-referenced toy. What we found PRICE WISE was a special SALE tag over the top of the regular "shelf" price which said "REGULAR PRICE $49.99 ON SPECIAL FOR $39.99" while the regular "shelf" price under the tag said $39.99 the same as your "SPECIAL PRICE". I note that your on-line special price is $29.99. I have heard a few other comments about pricing problems at this store. How do I explain such things to myself. By the way, I purchased this same TV Mini Golf (Milton Bradley not Hasbro as you advertised) at WalMart for $29.99.

We bought this game set as a gift for my 8-year old son's birthday and he and his 6-year old brother LOVE this game (as well as Mom and Dad)! I ended up buying an AC adaptor just to prevent going through multiple sets of batteries. It offers six different miniature golf courses and allows up to four players at a time. The game keeps score just like a regular, "real life" miniature golf game with the announcements of "par", "eagle", "bogie", etc. It's quite colorful and fun and involves some physical activity in lieu of any type of sedentary hand held type game. The game DOES hold up well if you read the directions which state that the user is to swing at least 6" above the golf ball sensor. Definitely a recommended game for miniature golf lovers in your family!Customer Review: Excellent gift for pre-schoolers on up!

One of my best girlfriends always seems to have a knack for picking out just the right gifts for any occasion; this INCREDIBLE golf game, given to our son at Xmas 2005, is no exception! From the easy to read installation instructions, to the endless combinations of players and courses, this amazing game keeps our 5 year old son entertained for hours! From his parents to his 76 year old grandpa, everyone gets into the fun; and, without his knowing it, our boy has learned about numbers/keeping score, words (Eagle, Par, Bogey, Double Bogey) putting angles, strategy, and cause & effect just by playing TV golf. I have never written a review for anything, but I wanted to review this item that my daugter received for Christmas. She, and I must admit the rest of us (adults included), had a blast with this toy. It provided hours and hours of fun - for about three days. And then it broke. The video cord was defective and we were unable to see the picture, even though we could still hear the game. Amazon is supposed to replace the defective item - And I have to admit that my daughter cannot wait for the replacement.
All in all, I think this is a great toy. More fun than real mini-golf. I just wish ours would have worked longer.
