Customer Review: Won't Make a Good gift

I bought this set as a gift for a friend who just gave birth to twins. In the picture, it looked like it would make a nice presentation; however, I was very disappointed when I received it. If it cost $15.99, it might have been ok, but it did not appear to be worth the price of $29.99 that I paid. First of all, the carrying case is not the pretty pink color it looks like in the picture, but even worse, written across the top of the case (not visible in the picture because it's open) are the words "Porcelain Tea Set" in ugly gold lettering. It just cheapened the appearance of the product. I also wasn't happy with the size of the cups. My own kids have a tea set and even though it's small, they actually use it. The size of the cups and plates in this set are so small that children would only be able to have a "pretend" tea party because they're too small to actually fill with drink or food. Spend a little more and get a nicer product than this one.

Tea Pot holds about 8 ounces and stands 3.5" tall. The plates are about 3.5" in diameter and the saucers about 2". Teacups measures about 1" high x 2" wide.
