Toys and Games Reviews of Toysmith 4M Tin Can RobotCustomer Review: A Construction Project Summary: 2 Stars
This is not a toy for kids who just want to play. Now for kids who like to built things, and put things together it is not a bad investment. The constrution is not easy as the plans are really drwaings with little written instructions. Also there are a few errors.
Once assembled there is little you can do with it, as it only wobbles around.
Total play time about 10 minutes. Construction by grandpa.
Customer Review: Tin can robot Summary: 4 Stars
The robot was fun to put together. I thought that my son would have been able to participate in more of the process but the screws were so small and difficult to screw in that he could not. He did have fun seeing the finished product. Overall a good toy. He brought it in to school for his "make your own robot project" and it was a big hit!
Customer Review: Great Beginner Project Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my 5 year old nephew. We had a great time building this. The instructions were not great but it was not difficult to finish the product within about 20 minutes. It wobbles around instead of walking which is preferred because it was able to entertain several little kids without having to chase3 it around.
Customer Review: Assembly a challenge Summary: 3 Stars
Nice idea, but the assembly is very challenging. Not for little hands. Many small parts and screws that needed very small tools. My 6 year old couldn't really participate in the building of the robot, but he did enjoy it moving around, but the novelty is brief. Likewise the construction is not very durable.
Customer Review: Cool, but fragile and hard to build Summary: 2 Stars
Well, not hard to build so much as instructions that are too complex. It's neat when it's done but the electronic parts are fragile. After five minutes of operation the wiring broke, no abuse of any kind. A real slog to put together and then my 8 year old was immediately disappointed when the parts failed
