I ordered this toy for my 8 year old for Christmas because the reviews were really good. I personally did not think this was a fun toy and I actually wanted to "lose" it about thirty minutes after we started to play with it. All the settings sounded the same and they all had this high pitch tweaking sound in them. Maybe I got a bad one but this toy was not fun and even after trying and changing the batteries they all pretty much sounded the same, loud and pitchy sounding. My son, who we bought this product for, seems to like it well enough and has used it often since we purchased it 2 months or so ago. However, this product is advertised to have 10 different sounding voice modifiers, BUT ALL the voice options sound the SAME (which is kind of a robotic "Chipmunk" voice).
For a child who will be entertained by having his voice sound differently at all, then the product is fine. If you really want the option of many different sounding voices, this is not the product for you.

Out of all the fancy toys they got for Christmas, this is the one the 7 and 4 year old are playing with the most. One warning, it can get pretty loud and after more than 10 minutes it starts to get irritating, but then I just send them to a different room to play. I didn't think something so simple would be so entertaining for them! It is definitely a keeper!
We bought it to use with the UCreate Music station, but haven't tried that yet. It's just fun all by itself.

I bought this for my 9 year old. I tried all the different switches to change voices. They all sound the same. They just all sound like a distorted voice with a electronic/robotic sound. You can't even understand the words being spoken coming out the other end. The only reason why I have given it a 2 star instead of one is because my daughter enjoyed playing with it on Christmas, even though it doesn't do what it is suppose to do.Customer Review: Robot Voice cracks me up!

A lot of combinations in this voice changer. Squeeky voice to Robot monotone. Better than Helium! I bought it for a nephew who loved it. I went back to the store a few days later to buy one for myself, and they only had one left in the back. It didn't work, but I assumed that the battery was dead, bought it, changed the 9 volt (rectangular) battery, but it didn't work. I'm going to return it. They are good for some laughs.
