Toys and Games Reviews of McFarlane Toys Movie Maniacs Series 4 Action Figure Army of Darkness Evil AshCustomer Review: Best Movie Maniac Yet Summary: 5 Stars
Let's go by parts here:- Fun: If you like horror movies,or if you collect action figures, you'll love this action figure because it is just perfect to the "Evil Ash" character in Army Of Darkness. Looks like it's alive sometimes. There aren't even words to describe an action figure this perfect. It is well-articulated so you can make him look like he's going to attack or not... Many possibilities. A must for your shelf. - Educational: This is not very educative because the toy might be a little scary-looking for young kids, it has some blood and it has two swords ready to kill someone. Not educative. But, hey, atlest you can see how knights used to wear in middle-age... - Durability: This is up to you... If you throw it in the ground, maybe it will break (haven't tested this). But if you keep it well-lit in your shelf, you'll have no problem... It comes with two swords and an Army Of Darkness mini-poster. I just must remember this toy is not for little kids... They have nothing to do with that... This toy is for us, grown-ups...
Customer Review: Very nice but flawed Summary: 2 Stars
Exquisitely detailed, and a joy to have on display, especially for an Evil Dead fan. Fun: 2 stars - Like most McFarlane figures (and most figures altogether) there is no fun to something like this. It cannot be played with, it cannot be posed. But it's not really meant to be. It's a figurine, not an action figure. Educational value: 5 stars!! - There is no education required save to show the joy and rapture that is Army of Darkness. Hail to the king. Durable: 2 stars - The figure itself is very durable.. unfortunately, the accessories are not. The entire purpose of the figures pose is to hold 2 swords. Both swords are exceptionally fragile. One of the sword blades tapers next to the hilt, and therefore broke completely off the first day that I had the item. Very dissapointing.

The detail is amazing and is a perfect addition to my 18" Ash. It is just fun looking at it, but I can't say it's all that educational. But hey, education is for the weak-willed. =) The swords seem pretty fragile, and I was a bit concerned they would break when trying to put them in the figures tightly clenched hands. Also, the tip of the small sword is permanently slightly bent, but looking at the pics on McFarlane's own website I see that the sword in the studio shots is bent just the same. Must be a small defect common to all the figures. All considering, it's not that bad of a defect and doesn't really bother me. Hope they make a possessed girlfriend figure someday!
Customer Review: Complete your Army of Darkness figure collection. Summary: 4 Stars
This is the second Army of Darkness Figure from Mcfarlane toys.It follows the hugely popular and hard as hell to find ASH figure from last year.As usual with all McFarlane figures this "toy" is loaded with details.Although not as nice looking as the Ash figure(my opinion)it still is a very cool looking figure that is a dead ringer for its Movie counterpart.I buy McFarlane figures for display only,so its limited mobility doesnt bother me at all. This is a must for Army of Darkness fans.

I waited forever for this and am very disappointed. The sculpt is awesome, don't get me wrong, but its so minusculy articulated, and not only is the left hand already loose, but the right hand won't open enough too accept a sword. Plus its pointy as hell so it can be rather hard to set up in the first place.Don't get me wrong, it looks great on my shelf, I just don't think its up to par with the previous figures in the series.
