We've gotten about a half dozen different sculpts of Gandalf the White so far, but ToyBiz couldn't be troubled to sculpt a new body for Arwen? Come on now. They've simply painted the Galadriel figure green and switched heads. It's so blatant, it's as though they're not even trying to hide it.
While most of the new figures in the line have been terrific -- with considerable improvements in likenesses and in articulation -- there have been a few notable disappointments. This Arwen figure being one, and the Cirith Ungol Uruk Hai being the other. (That figure is merely an existing Uruk figure with Sauron's eye hastily painted on his breastplate and shield.)
But at least in this case, they did do a new head sculpt. And I have to say, the likeness is uncanny. It looks just like Liv Tyler. Spectacular. Probably the most true to life facial sculpts in the entire LOTR line. (After the two EERILY accurate Elrond figures.)
