Customer Review: Perfect projection, music a little loud

After returning the Fisher Price Select a Soother, I finally found this one and hoped for the best.
The colorful images of bears and stars on the cieling circles around and is perfectly clear. I was sooo impressed with the imagery, especially after seeing the horrible Fisher Price one. You can even place the device on the floor and the images are still clear and colorful on the cieling.
The three music choices are ok, but it is a little loud. I think perhaps my dd was more stimulated by the music as opposed to soothed because of the volume. I wonder if the manufacturer left the volume a little loud because you otherwise might hear the motor running in the device. It's not bothersome, but there is a humming sound behind the music.
I used it for the first time last night for my almost 10 month old who has decided she doesn't want to sleep recently. She was up for an hour watching it and listening, so this didn't help her sleep, but I'm hoping as she associates "soft lights and music" with "sleepytime" it will help.
Overall, this device needs a volume and volume disable button, but other than that it is great. (I'd love to hear how the other reviewer disabled the sound?)
