Toys and Games Reviews of Tiny Love Gymini Deluxe - Noah's ArkCustomer Review: No question, you'll want this Summary: 5 Stars
This was a gift from my wife's grandmother, and I frankly just didnt understand it. "The kid's going to just lie on it, on his back, and stare at that stuff?"Yep. That and more. For awhile, it was a soft place for him to lie and look at stuff. Then it became stuff for him to kick, and figure out his feet and legs. Then, slowly, he started to be able to reach the pieces, feel their texture, and even trigger some of the hidden gems. (The sea horse, for example, makes music when you squeeze it - and is still making music after months and months of being played, although we havent change the battery, and cant figure out how to if it ever becomes needed.) My only question is the "12 months and under" part. He's already using it to pull up and stand, at under 9 months, and it isnt sturdy enough to hold him up. But for those first nine months, you'll want it!
Customer Review: BEST infant toy ever!! Summary: 5 Stars
We received this as a shower gift and I have to say it's our daughter's "favorite". It's so awesome, it has won 4 awards (Parenting winner: Toy of the Year; Openheim Toy Portfolio: Best Toy Award Gold Seal; Parents' Choice Silver Honor; Openheim Toy Portfolio: Blue Chip Classic Award Winner) and I can see why. It's lightwight, so easy to travel with and set up anywhere. Plus, it's easy to clean. Our baby LOVES it. She's been playing with it since she was a few weeks old (when she could look at the objects above and hear the music) now she's only 3 months old and is now 'batting' at the mobiles and 'cooing' at herself in the mirror. We also love it for "tummy time." My husband and I have taken it EVERYWHERE and our baby is always entertained, plus, it makes her feel "at home" when we're at grandma's or others. Buy this and/or give it as a gift!!
Customer Review: My 2 Month-Old's Favorite! Summary: 5 Stars
I borrowed the Gymini from a friend who raved about it, and in the three weeks I've had it, I've used it just about every day. My two month-old daughter prefers this over her swing and bouncy seat, and is captivated by the colors and hanging toys for a sustained period of time (usually 1/2 hour on the average!). In a pinch, when I need to get work done or take a shower, I know I can put her down and she's safe and entertained. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's expecting or already has an infant. I'm not sure how much longer my daughter will use it, but for now, this beats out all the other gadgets in terms of her enjoyment and the length of time she is engaged by this toy. It was used by two children before my own and seemed to be in very good shape when I got it, so I have to think it's fairly durable with normal use.
Customer Review: The greatest toy Summary: 4 Stars
I have a 6 week old little boy who likes to be held constantly. I can put him in his bouncy seat and he may last for about 10-15 minutes, and only that long if I am sitting and talking with him most of the time. I can lay him on his playmat and he will lie there happily for as long as 30 minutes---and I don't even need to be in the room with him. We actually have the deluxe gym that also has music, lights and a mirror, but he doesn't seem that interested in any of those items at this time. When we sit with him and praise him for successfully kicking or batting at an item he gets such a smile on his face. I would recommend this toy to everyone. The toys are movable so he won't get bored and you can add different items in different places. It is nice to be able to actually put him down and get some things done and know he is safe.
Customer Review: This should be your #1 purchase.... Summary: 5 Stars
This has been the absolute most enjoyed toy my son has had. The Sparkling Symphony Orchestra was recommended to me as a great baby gym, so I purchased it for my infant. It never entertained him for very long. A neighbor let me borrow a Gymini, and he loved it from day one, and still loves it - he's four months old now. He kicks and reaches for the toys and laughs delightedly! I had to return the borrowed Gymini (they had a new baby) so I purchased this one. I consider it very educational; the dangling objects give baby kicking and "batting practice" and later practice with grabbing with two hands and then one hand. The octopus in particular is a favorite! About durability - my friend's had faded slightly after multiple washings, but overall was still in excellent condition. If you buy one gym for your baby, choose this!
